Accreditation

Overview

Accreditation is one of the key strategies for developing the quality of both the divisions of general practice and of general practices. The government has identified key performance indicators for divisions of general practice relating to the level of practice accreditation they can achieve within their divisional areas, and requires all funded divisions of general practice to be accredited and maintain their accreditation status. For more information about the National Quality & Performance Framework and the National Performance Indicators for divisions view the NQPS page.

GPV is involved in supporting Victorian divisions to maintain their accreditation and achieve a high performing status as effective organisations.

GPV’s support for accreditation is in two separate programs, support for practice accreditation and support for division accreditation. For more information about these programs follow the link to Programs.
