Consultation Papers

 

We invite divisions and Medicare Locals to respond to our consultation papers. They may be developed in response to an external organisation’s consultation to which we wish to make a submission, or they may focus on an issue where we wish to develop an agreed position for future advocacy.

 

Our consultation papers provide background information on an issue, identify some of the key issues of relevance to divisions and Medicare Locals, set out GPV’s current thinking on the issue and include specific questions on which we seek divisions’ views. Divisions and Medicare Locals are welcome to respond to specific questions or provide any other comments they wish to. We include a deadline date for submissions. Our preference is to allow 6 weeks’ turnaround, but this depends on the timelines set by other organisations (e.g. if it is a response to a national consultation, we seek comments in time to enable GPV board to take them into account and make a submission on time).
